The following is an assortment of adoption related sites that can be found on the internet. There are hundreds of such sites. These are just a few that might be of interest. We do not endorse any of the following sites. 

About.com Adoption pages - many useful links

adopting.com -  a very extensive site run by a single adoptive mother; a site that contains many links to other sites.

adopting.org - another large site that calls itself "your friendly community adoption site": for those considering adoption, in the process and after completion.

Adoption.com - a large site covering many aspects of adoption.

Adoption Institute - the Evan B. Donaldson Adoption Institute; "to improve the quality of information about adoption, to enhance the understanding and perception of adoption, and to advance adoption policy and procedure"
 

Adoption Travel.com - "a resource for international adoption travel planning"; contains useful links and information

Adoptive Families Magazine - a site run by Adoptive Families Magazine

Adoptive Families Together - contains information and links to other sites

American Association of Open Adoption Agencies -  contains information on open adoption.

Comeunity - "comeunity support for unique families:  adoption & children's special needs"; information on disabilities, adoption support, premature children, etc.

Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption

Joint Council on International Children's Services - "an affiliation of welfare agencies that service children through intercountry adoption and relief efforts".

List of Adoption Listservs - "a thorough compilation of listservs that discuss adoption".

National Foster Parent Association - a site for foster parenting with links to other sites

N.Y.S. Citizens' Coalition for Children - "dedicated to the right of every child to a permanent, loving family"; contains information on foster care and adoption, transcultural and transracial adoption, articles on adoption, the adoption tax credit, etc.

Perspectives Press -  an extensive site maintained by the well known infertility and adoption publisher; contains links to many other sites.

Precious in His Sight - contains general information about adoption, especially adoption information on the internet; also maintains a large photolisting of children awaiting adoption.

RainbowKids.com -  "an online international adoption publication"; a large informative site published monthly.

Real Moms - online magazine by and for adoptive mothers involved in domestic adoption.
